Venice, Italy

I’ve taken the red eye train from Rome to Venice(Venetzia) and I’ve arrived with the first lights of the day. The train goes into the islands which was really cool. You get off the train and after five minutes of walking I’ve found a coffee shop and had my first coffee in its’ original location. It was delicioso! Then I started wondering around.…

Rome, Italy

I’ve taken an early morning flight from Zurich, Switzerland to Rome, Italy. They have a really good transportation system from the airport into the historical downtown area. When I reached to the station, my first impression was that all the buildings were too close to each other and had no room to breathe. All the cars have parked bumper to bumper and there was no more space than couple inches.…

Driving to the Tallest Mountain in the World – Mauna Kea

The last day of the trip. I was tired of non-stop hikes and adventures. I decided to visit Mauna Kea which is the biggest and tallest mountain in the earth(We know Everest as the highest mountain because more than half of Mauna Kea is actually underwater). It was an easy adventure compared to the rest I’ve done in Hawaii. You just sit in a car and watch the engine going crazy because of the steep hill.…

Walking on an active Volcano, Big Island

Even though I was really tired the last day because of the Manta Ray dive, I couldn’t sleep much because I was stressed about the lava walk. Because I’ve scheduled a tour with a company who promises that you’ll walk on fresh lava and then poke some lava while it’s still flowing. And it was 2 hours drive away and we had to meet at 9am.…

Manta Ray dive in Big Island

I’ve landed in Kona and the airport is built on Lava. It was quite an experience to see that. And also this was the first open airport I’ve seen in my life. What do I mean by open airport ? It’s literally open. There’s some security fences around but that’s about it. One restaurant and one gift shop is a small building and the rest doesn’t have any building except some ceilings to prevent sun from burning your brain 🙂 I’ve rented my car and started driving to my hotel.…

Oahu Circle Island Tour

I’ve woken up on Saturday at 8am. My buddy had to return to Seattle that day. He had couple more hours which I was thinking of having a nice breakfast together but then I started thinking of what to do the whole day by myself. I thought  I should schedule a tour. I’ve started looking online and found the best tour by looking at reviews.…

Diving in Oahu

We scheduled 2 dives with Oahu diving company. The location is really close to the Waikiki beach. We hired an uber for 8$ to go there. They seemed like cool people.  We started dressing up our scuba suits. We sailed off shore for about half an hour and we were at the dive site. It’s been a while since my last dive so I was a bit nervous as they prepared all the gear and we never done the buddy check.…

Hiking to the Diamond Head

Right after the surfing we’ve headed to the Diamond Head Mountain. It’s a crater left from a volcano. It is circular shaped and it’s huge. You pass through a man-made tunnel to reach to the center of the crater. And then you start hiking up. It’s not really a hard hike but the view at the end is impressive. You see all of the Oahu under your feet.…

Surfing in Oahu

We decided to take surfing lessons from Gone Surfing in Oahu. The beach was looking wonderful. The Diamond Head Mountain on the left side, pure sand beach with a lot of shades of water. Especially the rocks inside the ocean makes an incredible pattern and such a pretty view. But it does feel scary to think about you might fall onto those rocks while surfing.…
